Specialty Coffee

Our exceptional Bourbon and Kent varietals comes from above 1300 masl on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. The volcanic soils and cool, sunny climate with plenty of rain, combine to produce the perfect conditions to grow specialty, high altitude Arabica.
Our small-holder farmers and cooperatives grow their coffee on Chagga Land. Chagga is the indigenous tribe of this region.
The coffee is hand-picked on the small farms, or "Fincas", using skills and expertise of the pickers to determine readiness and quality of each cherry that will be the beginning of a GREAT CUP of coffee.
After being pulped, fermented, washed, dried, the coffee is then taken to curing factories to be dehusked and graded. The coffee is then cupped by our certified Q-Grader to enure it has a specialty cup score of above 85 before being properly bagged in high qualtiy grain-pro bags and exported to our customers
Because of the culture of the Chagga, who have a very holistic approach to community, buying from these cooperatives benefits all the families in the community.
